Fire causes $215,000 damage to Aiea house

Firefighters mop up after a fire at an Aiea home Monday.

A fire caused an estimated $215,000 in damages to a house in Aiea Monday afternoon.

Honolulu Fire spokesman Capt. James Todd said the cause of the fire was under investigation.

Todd said firefighters took about 15 minutes to get the fire at the Ieie Place house under control after receiving the alarm at 4:18 p.m. Monday.

The Red Cross was assisting a woman and two men who were displaced by the fire.
