Jackson nominated for Good Works Teams
Hawaii senior forward Kamilah Jackson was one of 52 NCAA women’s basketball student-athletes nominated for the 2014 WBCA and NABC Good Works Teams on Tuesday. The award recognizes hoops players who have "made significant contributions on the court, in the classroom and to the greater good of their communities through volunteerism and civic service," according to UH.
Five Division I players will be chosen from that group, with the final award recipients announced in January.
Jackson has participated in numerous community service projects and events over her four-year UH career. She is a two-time academic all-conference player and is one of just two Rainbow Wahine to compile 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.
