An Armed Forces Classic basketball doubleheader will originate from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in 2016, ESPN announced today.

The series of marquee Division I men’s basketball games over the Veterans Day week are being played on U.S. military bases worldwide on a five-year rotational basis and televised by the network.

This year’s game saw 19th-ranked Oregon defeat Georgetown 82-75 from the U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys in Pyeongtaek, South Korea last month.

Teams for the Nov. 11, 2016 event will be announced later, ESPN said.

The Nov. 14, 2014 game will be at U.S. Air Station Borinquen in Puerto Rico and will feature defending national champion Louisville vs. Minnesota while the Nov. 13, 2015 event will be played at a yet-to-be-determined U.S. Marine base, ESPN said.
