Flags fly at half-staff for Fuddy
The governor ordered that flags fly at half-staff on Saturday, the day of Hawaii Health Director Loretta Fuddy’s funeral.
Gov. Neil Abercrombie said flags must fly at half-staff at all state offices, agencies and the Hawaii National Guard from sunrise to sunset Saturday.
Abercrombie says it’s to mark respect for Fuddy, who died after a plane she was a passenger in crashed in the waters off Molokai. The pilot and seven other passengers survived without major injuries. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
Memorial services were scheduled for Saturday morning at Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa in Kalihi.
