Police seek suspect in armed robbery
CrimeStoppers and the police are asking the public’s help in finding a gunman who robbed the 7-Eleven at 94-911 Farrington Highway in Waipahu last week.
Police released video and photos of the suspect, who entered the store at about 2:14 a.m. Dec. 16, waved a handgun and demanded money.
The suspect is believed to be in his 20s, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing between 100 and 120 pounds. The video shows him dressed in a green long-sleeve shirt with a gray shirt over his face, white-and-blue checkered shorts, a black baseball cap with a "C" logo, white socks and white Nike shoes.
The early-morning armed robbery was the second in two days in the area, police said.
A gunman similarly dressed held up a Tesoro gas station at 94-1082 Ka Uka Boulevard in Waipio at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said. The suspect in that case is believed to be in his 20s, about 5 feet tall, with a slim build.
Police are not saying whether they consider the cases related.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or #CRIME on a cellphone.
