Police are urging the driver of a car, possibly a green sedan, who fled the scene of a critical pedestrian accident in Kaimuki to come forward.

Lt. Robert Towne of the Vehicular Homicide Section said police have two witnesses to the hit-and-run incident and surveillance video.

The 94-year-old man was crossing Waialae Avenue at 5th Avenue after shopping at Times Supermarket when a car reportedly ran a red light and struck him.

Police said the man was initially in serious condition, but his condition worsened and his condition had been downgraded to critical.

Anyone with information on the incident may call the police Vehicular Homicide Section at 723-3413.
