Wedding workshops offer tips for the bridal couple

The Wedding Cafe at Ward Warehouse is kicking off this year’s 10-week bridal workshop series Wednesday, offering classes on topics from invitations to decor.

Besides providing the lowdown on what to do, vendors at each workshop will offer discounts, specials and giveaways.

At the first workshop, Locations & Venues, 13 venues will be represented: Hale Koa, Halekulani, Hawaii Prince Hotel, Koolau Ballrooms, The Modern, Pacific Beach Hotel, Pearl Country Club, Plaza Club, the Salvation Army’s Kroc Center, Sunset Ranch, Turtle Bay, Waikiki Aquarium and The Willows.

All workshops are free and at 6:30 p.m. in the Ward Conference Room, unless otherwise noted.

The schedule: Picture Perfect Photography Showcase (Jan. 29); Bridal Fashion Show & Ceremony Planning (Feb. 5); Invitations, Favors & Special Touches Workshop (Feb. 12); Videography Showcase (Feb. 19); Beauty Apothecary (Feb. 26); Floral & Decor Showcase (March 5); Wedding Music & Entertainment (March 12); Cake & Catering Trends (March 19, $10); Grooms Workshop (March 26, Kakaako Room); Bridesmaids Workshop (March 26, Kewalo Room); and Reception Timeline (April 2; $15 or $25 per couple).
