Police arrest Waipahu bank robbery suspect
A 55-year-old Waipahu man is in custody Tuesday morning after allegedly robbing a bank in his neighborhood Monday morning.
Police said the suspect entered the Waipahu bank just before 11:30 a.m. and passed a note to the 23-year bank teller demanding money. The suspect fled on foot, but was later located at his home.
Witnesses were able to identify the suspect and he was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
