Fire causes $90,000 damage to Hawaii island house
Fire caused an estimated $90,000 in damage to a Pahoa home this afternoon.
When firefighters arrived at 14-3334 Mauna Kea Road, the Nanawale Estates house was fully involved in flames, fire officials said in a news release.
Firefighters brought the blaze at the wooden post-and-pier structure built six feet above ground under control at 2:40 p.m.
The fire was extinguished at 4:20 p.m.
No one was home at the time.
