10-foot tiger shark seen off Waikiki beach
A 10-foot tiger shark was spotted at Kaimana Beach in Waikiki around 11:15 a.m. Saturday, but the area remained open to beachgoers.
City emergency officials said warning signs were posted after the shark was seen about 200 yards off the flagpole at Kaimana, which is on the Diamond Head side of Waikiki Beach.
Hawaii News Now reported the shark took a diver’s catch. There were no injuries.
Woman accused of ramming man’s car
A Maili woman was charged with aggravated assault after police say she intentionally rammed a man’s car twice Friday morning in Makakilo.
Briana L. Anderson, 24, slammed her vehicle into a 29-year-old man’s car at 1:17 a.m. at Malama Market in Makakilo, police said.
He drove away and called police, but she found him and rammed his car again, according to police.
Police arrested Anderson and charged her with aggravated assault. Her bail is set at $15,000.
