A 10-foot tiger shark was spotted in the channel at Kaisers surf break off Waikiki about 1:40 p.m. Monday, according to the city Ocean Safety Division.

A 10-foot tiger shark was spotted in the channel at Kaisers surf break off Waikiki about 1:40 p.m. Monday, according to the city Ocean Safety Division.
Ocean Safety posted warning signs in the area and verbal warnings were given on shore and by a rescue watercraft.
A spokeswoman said the Hilton Hawaiian Village and Hale Koa hotels have been notified.
