Puna man charged with threatening another man with a rifle
A 29-year-old Puna man has been charged with threatening a man with a rifle following an argument in the Hawaiian Paradise Park home.
Peter Johnston-Riveira was charged Tuesday with first-degree terroristic threatening and four firearms offenses. His bail was set at $38,000.
Puna police said when they responded to a home in 28th avenue at 2:24 a.m. Monday, they were told the suspect had threatened to shoot a 50-year-old man after the two got into an argument in the victim’s home.
