Police solved a nearly 5-month old theft case early Saturday morning using security video footage, Honolulu police said.

A 49-year-old homeless man allegedly exited a business around 2:15 p.m. on Oct. 27 with items he didn’t pay for, according to police records.

Police later identified the man, who has no local address, based on surveillance video, located him at 4 a.m. Saturday near 2929 Varsity Circle in Moiliili and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree theft.
