High surf advisory posted for east-facing shores of all islands
Forecasters expect surf of 5 to 8 feet along the east-facing shores of all islands Tuesday afternoon, which has prompted weather officials to issue a high surf advisory.
The advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. Thursday.
Officials caution beachgoers to expect strong shore break and rip currents that could make swimming difficult and dangerous.
