High surf advisory extended for all islands
High surf up to 8 feet is expected to hit east-facing shores around the state and has prompted the National Weather Service to extend a high surf advisory for all islands.
The advisory is in effect through 6 a.m. Wednesday. An earlier advisory for north- and west-facing shores has been canceled.
Weather officials forecast surf of 5 to 8 feet for east-facing shores.
Beachgoers are advised to heed all advice given by ocean safety officials.
