Police asking for help to identify Kapiolani Blvd. robber

Robbery Suspect Wanted CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the publicâ??s assistance in locating a male who is wanted for Robbery. On April 22, 2014, at approximately 3:00 a.m., the victim was walking on Kapiolani Boulevard near McCully Street, when he was approached from behind by an unknown male. The male brandished a dangerous instrument and took the victimâ??s wallet and cell phone. The victimâ??s credit card was later used to withdraw money from an ATM in the Kaimuki area. Honolulu police are asking the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with a robbery on April 22.

According to police, the suspect approached a male victim on Kapiolani Boulevard near McCully Street about 3 a.m., brandished a dangerous weapon and took the man’s wallet and cellphone. The victim’s credit card was later used to withdraw money from an ATM in the Kaimuki area.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall weighing 180 pounds, with dark hair, a moustache and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black shorts and black sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.
