Tips sought in attempt to catch robber
Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with an April 22 robbery.
According to police, the suspect approached a male victim on Kapiolani Boulevard near McCully Street at about 3 a.m., brandished a dangerous weapon and took the man’s wallet and cellphone. The victim’s credit card was later used to withdraw money from an ATM in the Kaimuki area. A photo of the suspect at the ATM is shown at left.
The suspect is described as a local male in his 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with dark hair, a moustache and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black shorts and black sunglasses.
