A water main break closed part of School Street in Kalihi Thursday morning.
Police are contra-flowing traffic on North School Street between between Kamehameha IV Road and Ahonui Street in Kalihi as Board of Water Supply crews repair a broken 16-inch water main.
The repairs are likely to continue through Thursday, the Board of Water Supply said.
About 26 homes and businesses are without water after the leak was reported just before 2 a.m.
The broken 16-inch main was installed in 1927.
