Mural freshens future rail transit station in Aiea

Student volunteers on Saturday began painting a mural over graffiti at a strip mall along Kamehameha Highway in Aiea that will become a station on Oahu’s rail transit line. Aiea High School students Christine Vergara, left, Ashley Lee and Breanna Asam-Balicanta took part in the beautification program sponsored by the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation.
