Firefighters extinguish $11,500 shed fire in Kahului
Maui firefighters extinguished a shed fire Monday afternoon in Kahului.
The firefighters, responding to a 3:03 p.m. alarm, arrived quickly and found the 10-foot by 5-foot detached shed 75 percent involved in fire.
It was quickly brought under control within a few minutes.
A fire inspector determined it was accidental, and damage to the structure was estimated at $2,500 and $9,000 to its contents.
No one was injured.
