Cashier’s escape thwarts holdup
A robbery at a 7-Eleven store on Waialae Avenue was foiled Thursday when a clerk fled from a holdup.
Police said the attempted robbery occurred at 8:13 p.m. when a man entered the store and demanded money from the cashier.
The cashier ran out of the store, and the man left without any cash, police said.
Man accused of robbing teenagers
Prosecutors charged a 20-year-old McCully man Tuesday for allegedly robbing two 16-year-old boys in Wahiawa.
Jeremiah Delacruz was charged with first-degree robbery.
Police said a man had a dangerous instrument when he allegedly robbed the teens at 9 p.m. May 29.
Kailua resident arrested in threat
Police arrested a 28-year-old Kailua man Thursday for allegedly threatening a 22-year-old man in Kailua on Wednesday.
Police said the older man allegedly threatened the younger man with a dangerous instrument at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police found and arrested the suspect Thursday afternoon at his home on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.
