Medical Examiner identifies man found in Waikele Stream

A man whose body was found in Waikele Stream in Waipahu at 12.35 p.m. Monday has been identified as Seiji Yoshida of Waipahu, according to the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Medical Examiner’s Office said Sunday the cause of Yoshida’s death has yet to be determined.

The office has not released the identity of another man whose body was discovered just before 8 p.m. Monday near the University of Hawaii faculty housing on Dole Street.

The office is still trying to notify the next of kin.

The cause of death in that case is also listed as yet to be determined.
