3rd sex abuse lawsuit by ex-child model dropped

Garth Ancier, who has been a high-level executive for NBC, Fox and other television networks, states in his lawsuit that Egan knew his abuse claims were false and the case never should have been filed.

A former aspiring model who accused several Hollywood figures of sexually abusing him as a child has dropped a third lawsuit.

Lawyers for Michael Egan III said in a federal court filing in Honolulu on Saturday that they were dismissing a lawsuit against theater producer Gary Wayne Goddard.

That leaves only one lawsuit filed by Egan still open, against "X-Men" franchise director Bryan Singer. Egan earlier dropped lawsuits against two television executives.

Egan’s lawyers did not explain why they dropped the lawsuit in their two-page filing.

Egan’s lawyers, Jeff Herman and Mark Gallagher, as well as a spokesman for Goddard did not immediately return messages seeking comment Saturday.

Egan had accused the men of sexually abusing him as a child during trips to Hawaii. The men have denied the allegations.
