Marine sergeant accused of stabbing wife
A 26-year-old Kaneohe Marine is in custody after he allegedly stabbed his wife Thursday morning.
Officers arrested the Marine, who listed a Marine Corps Base Hawaii home address, on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder at 6:40 a.m.
The alleged incident occurred just after 6 a.m. Thursday. A spokeswoman for the Marine base would only confirm that the suspect was a Marine sergeant stationed at Kaneohe.
Officers arrested the man at a Kamehameha Highway address in Kahaluu.
Emergency Medical Services said paramedics treated the woman for a small wound to her chest and took her in stable condition to the hospital.
The 28-year-old victim told police that the suspect stabbed her.
Kalihi burglary suspect caught in shower
Police arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of burglary after a resident caught the suspect taking a shower in a Kalihi home.
Police arrested the suspect after the incident at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said the man went into the home through an unsecured door.
Officers also arrested the man on suspicion of harassment because of an incident that happened while he was being taken into custody.
