Toddler in serious condition after nearly drowning at Ala Moana
A good Samaritan helped to save a 2-year-old boy who nearly drowned on Sunday at Ala Moana Beach Park, a spokeswoman for the Emergency Medical Services Department said.
The Samaritan pulled the boy from the water about 3:30 p.m. and began CPR with lifeguards, and the rescuers were able to revive the boy’s pulse, the spokeswoman said.
Paramedics took the boy to a hospital in serious condition.
The spokeswoman said another young child was watching the boy when he got into trouble.
