Fey picked for USA Junior National Team

Hawaii men’s volleyball sophomore Kupono Fey was one of 21 players selected to the USA Volleyball Men’s Junior National Team on Wednesday.

Fey and the team will train in Lake Placid, N.Y., to prepare for the NORCECA Under-21 Continental Championships July 28 to Aug. 3 in El Salvador. The U.S. is the defending champion, having won it in 2012.

UH to host open houses for ticket sales

Open-house events have been scheduled at Aloha Stadium and the Stan Sheriff Center to allow University of Hawaii fans to view available seats for 2014 season tickets. Fans will have the opportunity to receive a guided tour of open seats, make a selection and complete a purchase during the events.

On Friday, the Rainbow Wahine volleyball season ticket sales event will take place at Stan Sheriff Center through Gate A from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Parking will be available in the zone 20 structure and can be validated at the Sheriff Center.

On Monday, the football season ticket sales event is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. at Aloha Stadium through the Gate 4 turnstile. Fans can enter through Gate 1 (off Salt Lake Boulevard) and park free in sections 1B or 1C. Football parking passes for the new upper Halawa reserved lot will also be on sale for $175 per pass.
