Scott Chan won unanimous approval of the Aloha Stadium Authority for another year as manager of the facility Thursday.
In an 8-0 vote, the authority extended his contract through 2015 and granted a raise to $118,500 effective July 1, 2014 under state salary commission guidelines.
Chan, 55, has managed the stadium since 2007 serving at the pleasure of the appointed authority which oversees the facility. He began work there in 1995 as a deputy events manager and served as interim stadium manager.
"I’ve been very pleased with Scott’s performance," said authority chairman Charles Toguchi. "In addition to his usual description running the stadium, there’s been a lot added to his job."
Chan has coordinated work with Foley & Lardner, the state-hired consultant on the future of Aloha Stadium, the city and HART as well as overseeing the stadium’s pursuit of the lifting of deed restrictions on the property.
Authority vice chairman Keith "Kika" Bukoski said the group is reviewing public testimony on the future of the stadium and will meet with its consultant before beginning the third phase of the announced eight-phase plan. The third phase includes developing criteria for a request for information solicitation.
