Primary election chairman Anthony Scimone showed the ballot-scanning machine that malfunctioned at the Kahala Elementary School polling station Saturday. Voters were given the option of holding onto their ballots and returning to feed them into the machine, or having their ballots placed in an emergency box at the station until the device was reset. The scanner worked fine after the reboot.
