UH soccer team defeats Seattle in overtime
Krystal Pascua went to the upper far post in the opening seconds of overtime to score the game-winning goal and Hawaii prevailed 2-1 over Seattle University on Monday night at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
UH claimed the Ohana Hotels and Resorts No Ka Oi tournament title for beating the Redhawks and Northern Illinois last Thursday.
Pascua’s younger sister, Kama, had the assist on the game-winning shot. UH’s other score game in the first half on an own goal by Seattle (2-2).
Seattle, the defending WAC champion, equalized in the 60th minute on a goal by Stephanie Verdoia.
