    Lily Bender of Kahaluu stopped for a snapshot in front of Halau Hula ‘o Hiwa­lani, a Hawaiian dance studio in the city of Kiku­chi, Kuma­moto prefecture, on the island of Kyu­shu, Japan. The studio was one of three hula halau that Ben­der and her mother, Valerie Hashi­moto, passed while walking to their hotel after a visit to Kuma­moto Castle.
