Blaze damages house in Kapahulu
Firefighters extinguished a fire Wednesday morning that caused about $27,000 damage to a Kapahulu house, fire officials said.
The damage was mostly to the carport structure and its contents, but the cause remains under investigation, fire Capt. David Jenkins said Wednesday evening.
Eight fire companies were summoned at 7:41 a.m. to Hoolulu Street near the Ala Wai Golf Course and found the garage of the home in flames. Thirty firefighters brought the blaze under control 12 minutes later.
Three people were home when the fire was reported. No injuries were reported.
