The Hawaii County Fire Department has terminated its search for a fisherman swept off a boat in Pohoiki Bay on Wednesday.

Fire rescue personnel spent the fourth and final day of the search conducting aerial shoreline searches up to one mile offshore from Kalapana to Kapoho Bay. The effort also included scuba operations in and around Pohokai Pay and a coastal search using a rescue boat. No sign of the missing fisherman was detected.

Charles Rosecranes, 65, was making engine repairs to the boat when he reportedly fell overboard on Wednesday morning.
