Police still are looking for donor of items at Mililani center

Police are renewing their request to find the person who donated items of interest last month at a Mililani donation center.

Someone left a cardboard box containing a toy drum set, a wicker chair, and paintings at the donation center in Mililani town on Sept. 15, which was a Monday, police said.

The items piqued the interest of the donation center employee who notified police. Detectives hope to talk to the person who donated the items.

Police have opened a “miscellaneous public” case and would not say what type of case could be developed if police receive more information.

No criminal investigation has been opened.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Criminal Investigation Division at 723-3609 and ask for detectives Sandi Fujitani or Peter Boyle.
