Victims killed in traffic accidents identified

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office released the names of two people who died in separate accidents over the weekend.

Onofre Quiton, 73, of Honolulu, died Saturday at Queen’s Medical Center of multiple blunt force injuries he received when he was struck by a car in Kalihi on School St. and Houghtailing St. at 11:45 p.m. Friday.

The driver of a 1994 Toyota Corolla, a 56-year-old woman, was traveling westbound on School St. when she struck Quinton around 11:45 p.m.

Quiton sustained head and body injuries and was taken to Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition, where he died.

The Medical Examiner’s Office said Michael Fox, 64, of Kailua-Kona, died of blunt force injuries Friday.

Fox was flown to Queen’s following a moped accident in Kailua-Kona on Thursday.
