Tropical Storm Ana has football schedule makers busier than usual this week.

The Interscholastic League of Honolulu has moved its playoff games from Saturday to Friday. Instead of a tripleheader at Aloha Stadium, there will be a doubleheader on Friday. Damien will meet Pac-Five with a 5:30 p.m. kickoff, followed by Saint Louis and Kamehameha at roughly 8:15 p.m.

The ‘Iolani-St. Francis matchup is now at Eddie Hamada Field on Friday. Kickoff is 3:15 p.m. ‘Iolani defeated St. Francis, a sophomore-heavy squad, 44-7 in the regular-season finale last week.

“Regardless of who we’re playing, we have a (practice) schedule and now it’s been changed. We lose one less day to prepare and that’s not good,” ‘Iolani head coach Wendell Look said.

OIA executive director Raymond Fujino confirmed the schedule adjustments on Wednesday.

External factors are causing a big reshuffle for the OIA, which had two Division I quarterfinal games scheduled for Saturday. Now, the Kaiser-at-Mililani game (7 p.m., no JV) and Waianae-at-Farrington matchups will be played on Friday. The Waianae-Farrington game will begin 25 minutes after a JV game (5:30 p.m.).

The Campbell-at-Leilehua game will begin 25 minutes after the JV game (5:30 p.m.) and Kapolei-at-Kahuku games remain on Friday as scheduled. The Kapolei-Kahuku game will begin 25 minutes after the JV game, at approximately 7:30 p.m.
