Giving your immune system a boost

[ AD HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THIS STORY ]

As cold and flu season approaches, Vim N Vigor has everything you need to stay happy and healthy during the upcoming holiday season.

“Some people’s stress levels are higher because there are a lot more things going on,” explains manager Fudge Kozuki.

“People are running around, and usually there are a lot of parties and festivities. When you eat more sugars or drink more alcohol, your immune system drops dramatically.”

Before the flu or a cold hits, there are preventative measures one can take.

“ImmunExtra is my personal favorite.

It has pine cone extract,” says Kozuki.

“There’s an island of Japanese people that reported low cancer rates, and after a little digging, they found a lot of them drink tea made from the pine trees. They found it helps to boost your T-cell count.”

Oscillococcinum is good for the flu and should be taken as soon as symptoms present themselves, while products like Umcka are recommended for those who exhibit cold-like symptoms.

If illness has already befallen you, Vim N Vigor also has products to help get you through that rough patch. Throat lozenges come in a variety of flavors, as well as throat sprays for those who suffer from scratchy throats.

Also essential to preventative measures are essential oils and sprays to help calm the mind and body. “Not everyone likes to take pills,” Kozuki explains. “There are other modalities of healing.” Popular scents include lavender and peppermint (fantastic for congestion), as well as tea tree oil
