To launch the Hard Rock Roxtars program, Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu will host the "Does Your Child Look Like a Rock Star?" contest from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The contest celebrates the unveiling of the Hard Rock Roxtars, a band of characters serving as brand ambassadors for the restaurant’s children’s program.

Judging will be based on costume, stage presence and crowd interaction. Prizes include a Hard Rock Cafe gift card or a birthday party for eight.

The event, held in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii, includes face painting, complimentary kids’ appetizers and an ice cream bar. Kids, in costume or not, will eat free if each is accompanied by an adult who purchases an entree.

The Hard Rock Roxtars program will welcome young diners to Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu with an activity book, themed menus, guitar-shaped plates and Hard Rock Roxtars photo opportunities.
