Breaking of window spurs arrest, charge
A 31-year-old Waianae man has been charged after allegedly breaking a car window. The broken glass caused minor injuries to a 28-year-old woman.
He was charged Sunday with criminal property damage, and bail was set at $20,000.
Officers arrested the suspect at his Palani Street home Saturday afternoon after he allegedly smashed the window earlier in the day.
Autopsy scheduled on dead swimmer
The Medical Examiner’s office will perform an autopsy on a 49-year-old man who apparently downed while swimming Saturday near Fort DeRussy.
The identity of the man was not released because his relatives had not been informed. The victim was pulled out of the ocean at about 5:30 p.m. and died at the scene, police said. The case is currently classified as an unattended death.
