Forum will discuss future of Kakaako
"Live, work, play." By now, we’ve all become familiar with this simple but effective catchphrase in tandem with Kakaako’s ongoing redevelopment.
On Tuesday, a public forum, "The Pedestrian Experience in Kakaako," will discuss a vision for the area from the pedestrians’ perspective.
The 5-7 p.m. event, hosted by the American Institute of Architects-Honolulu Chapter, will be at the Center for Architecture, 828 Fort Street Mall, suite 100.
Due to limited space, advance reservations are required at www.aiahonolulu.org; the forum will be aired on ‘Olelo Community Media at a later date.
The forum will focus on creating a pedestrian-friendly Kakaako: envisioning the area’s streetscape and urban pedestrian experience. Call it live, work, play — and walk.
