Kona man charged with auto theft, weapons, drug offenses
Hawaii County police charged a 27-year-old Kona man of Captain Cook on auto theft and various weapons and drug offenses.
Officers were sent at 10 p.m. Friday on a report of suspicious activity at the end of King Kamehameha III Extension in Keauhou.
Police found Isaac Abrojena in a allegedly stolen pickup truck and arrested him.
The 2004 Ford Ranger was stolen Oct. 27 from an Ocean View home, police said.
Police found a sawed-off shotgun inside the truck, along with ammunition, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, including paraphernalia associated with crystal methamphetamine use.
Detectives charged Abrojena with unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle, fraudulent use of license plates, four firearms offenses, and two counts each of promoting dangerous drugs and possessing illegal drug paraphernalia.

His bail was set at $14,250.
