Police arrested four suspects after a man chasing an alleged cellphone thief was jumped and assaulted by two men in Waipahu Monday night.
The victim, a 35-year-old man, told police one of the suspects took his cellphone and ran away at about 11 p.m.
The man chased after the suspect, but two other suspects, waiting in a vehicle, assaulted him, police said. They then jumped into a vehicle driven by a fourth man and fled the scene.
Investigating officers located the four suspects, two 18-year-old men, a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old man, and arrested them, police said.
