I don’t have to warn you to be careful out there when it comes to holiday spending. According to WalletHub, Hawaii is one of the more frugal states, coming in at 44 out of 50 states and the District of Columbia in a 2014 study of "States With the Biggest Spenders." It’s likely because there’s little discretionary income left after paying for our homes, cars, utilities, health care and food.
To help you along with holiday shopping, stores are rolling out discounts for Black Friday, which starts as early as Thursday at many stores. Here are a few places to start:
» Ala Moana Center: Black Friday is ThanksGetting Day at the center, where some stores will open the afternoon of Thanksgiving Day and stay open through Friday night.
