Vulcans end Thanksgiving Classic with win

Tre Johnson finished with 23 points to lead the Hawaii Hilo men’s basketball team to a 97-80 win over Northwest Indian College in the final game of the 2014 Vulcans Thanksgiving Classic on Thursday in Hilo.

Darius Johnson-Wilson added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Vulcans (3-2). Kacy Green led Northwest Indian College (0-5) with 19 points.

Lady Vulcans fall to MSU-Billings

Kayleen Goggins scored 22 points as Montana State-Billings turned a one-point halftime lead into a 61-41 victory over Hawaii Hilo on Thursday at McKinley High School.

The Yellow Jackets (4-2) led 22-21 at the half. Alexa Jacobs led the Vulcans (0-3) with nine points.
