Police seek help finding suspects in Koko Marina, Chinatown heists

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding two men involved in separate bank robberies.

A man in his 20s entered the Koko Marina branch of Bank of Hawaii at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday and handed the teller a demand note, police said.

He fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 160 to 180 pounds, with short brown hair, blue eyes, wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt, dark shorts, and carrying a black and gray backpack.

Public help is also sought in finding a man who robbed the Chinatown branch of First Hawaiian Bank.

Police said a man entered the bank at about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday and handed a teller a note demanding money. He fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with short gray hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a dark short-sleeved T-shirt with long denim pants.

Pedestrian in serious condition after being hit by vehicle on Middle Street

Paramedics took a 34-year-old man to a hospital Wednesday morning after a pedestrian accident in Kalihi.

An ambulance took the man to a trauma center in serious condition after he was struck by a vehicle on Middle Street, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.

The accident occurred at about 5:50 a.m. near 611 Middle St.
