Help sought finding stabbing suspect
Police are seeking witnesses or information in the stabbing death of a 53-year-old man at Tantalus.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Craig Jones, of an unknown address. An autopsy determined he died of stab wounds to his neck.
Police said passersby found Jones in the bushes near one of the lookouts at about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Officers responding to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 3700 block of Round Top Drive found an unresponsive man with suspicious injuries, a CrimeStoppers news release said.
The Honolulu Police Department has opened a second-degree murder case. Jones’ death marks Honolulu’s 21st homicide this year.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME from a cellphone.
