Hotel Street closed briefly after small fire
Hotel Street was briefly closed Sunday morning while firefighters investigated a small clothes fire.
Police said the fire was reported at about 10:35 a.m., and Hotel Street was closed between River and Maunakea streets.
A Honolulu Fire Department spokesman said a pile of clothes was on fire behind a building at 133 N. Hotel St., but residents extinguished the fire with a bucket of water.
HFD initially responded with five fire companies.
