Woman charged in alleged assault on police officer
Prosecutors charged a 53-year-old woman, with no local address, with assault of a law enforcement officer Thursday.
A police officer was arresting the woman for a traffic violation at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday when she allegedly assaulted the officer, who was injured.
Denise Saxton was charged Thursday with the felony. Her bail was set at $11,000.
