A 27-year-old roller skater was killed in an apparent collision with a vehicle in Makakilo Tuesday.

The accident, which police consider a pedestrian accident, happened at about 10:35 a.m. at Makakilo Drive and Kikaha Street when the roller skaker collided with a vehicle, according to an Emergency Medical Services Division report.

The woman was pronounced dead on arrival, EMS said.

Police closed Makakilo Drive between Hookomo and Kikaha streets while Traffic Division officers investigated the crash.

The road was reopened shortly after 1 p.m.
