Services for Gustav T. "Gus" Hannemann Jr. have been set for Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hawaii Kai Ward, 219 Lunalilo Home Road. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. and services begin at noon.
Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 19 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
Aloha attire is requested and flowers are welcome. Borthwick Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
Hannemann, who died Jan. 2 at age 78, was director of the American Samoa government office in Hawaii and an Air Force veteran.
He was born in American Samoa and was the brother of former Mayor Mufi Hannemann. He is also survived by wife Lydia L., son T.K., daughter Teuila K. Kaimikaua, brothers Albert and Nephi, sisters Lady Va Maughan and Gafanua B. Memea, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
