Jeff Hall hired for Rainbow Wahine volleyball coaching jobs
Jeff Hall is moving two doors down to become the associate head coach for the University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team and head coach of the Rainbow Wahine’s sand volleyball team
Hall, 43, succeeds Scott Wong at both positions. Wong recently was hired as Pepperdine’s women’s volleyball coach.
"It’s bittersweet," said Hall, who has been on the coaching staff of the UH men’s volleyball team the past five years, including four as associate head coach.
Hall is credited with playing a role in recruiting every player on the Warriors’ roster.
UH assistant coach Milan Zarkovic is expected to assume Hall’s duties as associate under head coach Charlie Wade.
Spencer McLachlin, a Punahou and Stanford graduate, is expected to be Zarkovic’s interim replacement. Mclachlin, who teaches at Punahou, has been a volunteer assistant with the Warriors this season.
